Hi,
I have a clean install of Windows 10 and I have installed Steam right now.

I had saved the files of /Documents of my campaign of all my games on Steam.

I have copied all the files to the /Documents folder, "Rockstar Games" with "GTA V" and "Social Club" inside. The thing is that when I open the game, my history is not there, is like I have to start the campaign again, why?.

Before, I just copy the saved files to the new /Documents folder and that's it, all the campaigns was restore and I was able to play the games exactly where I was before.

What I need to do?, I don't want to start the games all over again.
There is a way to let the client know, hey I have my saved files here, look at them?....

A while ago when I started GTA V, there was asked if I wanted my savegames to be saved online, I chose not to but you did maybe?

If you're playing through Steam, does GTAV support Steam Cloud saves? Those are super nice for these situations.

I would also check to verify that you're using default or non-default document locations...if for some reason it is looking elsewhere, then it won't see your saves.

I haven't played GTAV, but I imagine it is either not allowing it because of some sort of ID/check mismatch meaning you gotta start over or there's a location issue and you don't have them where they're supposed to be. If you start a new game, can you confirm the game stores its save game files in the location you copied your old files to?

If you say, started a new game and then copied your old saves over, does it see them?

You may need to contact the Dev for assistance or browse their forums for this issue...

Did you copy the entire USERID folder or just the saves inside? http://gaming.stackexchange.com/questions/214394/how-to-transfer-gta-v-save-files
