I have a gift card with a little over $2 left on it, and I'd like to burn it up by adding $5 to my steam wallet, covering the remainder with paypal. Is there a way to do this? I don't want any messes because I overdrew my account with this gift card...

Yeah, I've been to their FAQ page already. They don't say anything about being able to do split purchases.

I haven't come across a single online service/shop that allows split tender. Makes things simpler for the seller in case of fraud or other problems.

I was pretty sure it lets you pull from your Steam wallet before actually charging the rest... I thought I did it once to kill 2 cents just sitting there or something.

Add funds to your Steam Wallet
Funds in your Steam Wallet may be used for the purchase of any game on Steam or within a game that supports Steam transactions.

You’ll have a chance to review your order before it’s placed.
