Had this little problem for while but have never looked into it. On Steam's store page for games, if they have a video preview of the title it always has a consistent stutter. If I view the same footage with any browser such as Chrome or ie there is no stutter and I get smooth playback.

Is there any solution for this, does anyone else experience this or is it just one of those things?

A small issue but would be nice to resolve it.
Thanks.

Steam videos within Steam are dependant on the Flash version designated NPAPI, at least that is what I have found. Installing it, and keeping it updated (in addition to the version you normally use) should eliminate it for you.

Meh, updated and still stutter in steam videos. I'll just continue to view them in my browser.

Thanks for the info though,

EDIT - Reboot sorted it, now playing smoothly. Awesome :) Thanks again.

Steam's WebTool is now multithreaded. If you're loading your processor (e.g. F@H or BOINC), Steam's browser (pretty much the whole application) can get sluggish. Either don't use Steam or pause what is loading the processor.
