I have some old 128GB SSDs and some laptop 1TB HDDs , is it worth using them with StoreMI or better just throw them away :) ? I havent tried it and im not sure how easy is to lose data using it and if the speed increase is significant (not for OS , just to store some files maybe some random games / VMs) also if got like 3x each , can i use it like to pair 1 sdd x 1 hdd ? I installed storeMi at some point but my system failed to boot in windows for some reason and i left it for another day.
Should i better use the HDDs in a RAID? They are not same model so not exactly same capacity / speed.

Edit: Just installed last version of StoreMI from AMD website and im getting BSOD, tried to use default BIOS settings , removed the RAM same thing , i think this version is broken...
Found this on reddit: but the combo is on supported list: https://www.amd.com/en/technologies/store-mi

Edit2: Ended up using PrimoCache , lets see if its worth using :)

looking for updates when you get them, I'm curious!!

I did a few tests , im still not sure what the best settings are for this but i only went for READ cache ( there is an option there) and only using 50GB of a SSD for cache (LVL 2) , testing it with two pretty old HDDs.
I havent tried to run any games from them and i only have some data on the slower/smaller HDD and it seems snappy when accessing it (the faster/bigger HDD is connected to the chipset SATA port on the MB). I tried with 2 GB of LVL 1 cache (RAM) combined with LVL 2 SSD CACHE and the speeds were insane but im not sure if i want to use 1 or 2 GB of LVL 1 CACHE yet (not sure if it slows my system, last pic si with LVL 1 RAM cache 2GB). All tests were done once so probably they will work better with time but the speeds were maxed out anyway. I think the real tests have to be done while running a game or a VM.

EDIT: I think i should format my HDDs with 8/16kb or even higher 64kb cluster size and set the cluster size setting in Primo Cache to 8/16kb/64kb , it has less memory overhead this way and prob better write speeds. The tests were done with read/write enabled with read only its harder to test , i have to see it in a real application, i think ill be killing the SSD with read/write enabled.
I think all the sata ports are from chipset when using m2 (*When M.2 device is used, CPU SATA ports are unavailable) got confused that the CPU sata ports are grouped with 2 chipset ports. and they are sata 5 and sata 6 for some reason.
