Hi,

I just got another 8800gtx from a friend of mine with an EK waterblock on it however it has feser 3/8" compression fitting on it that just won't come loose!
This wouldn't bother me if I weren't using 1/2" tubing.
Can anyone give me any ideas on how to get this little son of b***h out?
Please help! :banghead:

Pipe tongues. Just be careful.

You saying the tubing is stuck or the fitting won't unscrew from the block??? Or the compression sleeve won't come off?

If tubing, slit it.

If it's the actual fitting, cut the tube and take vice grips to it.

If it's the compression sleeve, cut the tube and take vice grips to it.

If it take too much force, threads may be crossed... you may also want to run it under very hot water for a bit, perhaps the previous owner tried silicone or something.

It's the actual fitting, it's stuck fast. I just rang and asked him and all he said it was good old fashioned elbow grease lol
