I went ahead and pre-ordered it because this.

Never played the original so this will be totally new for me.

So another 10 year wait? It's going to be a dumbster fire of a game FYI.

We're more than halfway through March, 2023 and I'm not hearing much about an imminent release -- always a bad sign for a game in development for years.

The developer Nightdive announced that this title is delayed until late May.

So we'll see it in a couple of months assuming they stay on their revised schedule.

Anyhow, there are too many games these days that are released half-baked.

Better for them to get it right rather than ship a steaming pile of dung. And yes, developers, that means QA testing on PC...

I'm definitely not pre-ordering this title or STALKER 2 for that matter.

It's been bumped but they've set a release date,

Planned Release Date: 30 May, 2023

Personally, I read a lot of hype about System Shock 2 so I bought it in 2013, it was extremely dated back in 2013 and a poor gameplay experience. I didn't enjoy it at all. Now we are 10 years later. If I were you, I'd try to buy that original System Shock 2 for just a few dollars (key sites) and then see if you actually like it before sinking money on a preorder because in my opinion, System Shock 2 was one of the most overrated games I have ever played.

I get it free with the preorder and I have to say it looks so much better than the original. I did try SysShock2 years ago but it was made for an 8MB video card and here we are in 2023 with 24GB video cards that make early 3D look like the tesla truck so I hated it based on its graphics alone. It looks so much better now that I'm willing to give it another chance.

I'd really like a remake of Thief The Dark Project (or Gold or Metal Age) instead.

System Shock 2 came out around 2000, so you're judging it by 2013 standards which isn't fair at all.

Well I also played through Unreal Gold and Thief Gold around 2016 and they did hold up.

Well I might have to get this one as I still have the original 1994 version =
