i've never heard of that, so you may want to reformat just for safety

Reformatting might not help. Are you using a router or a modem ? Can you get a screenshot of the message ?

I use vpn on a network and I think somebody used it to remote access my computer once, because the cursor started leaping all over the screen ,opening random programs---SCARY

if you can't figure it out, look for something called nukedisk. we use it in case of a foothold. the idea is that it goes over your harddrive and makes it all read the same thing, which is nothing. safer than a reformat, and is forensic-safe.

you should always have remote access turned off to keep yourself protected, its like locking the door (firewall) but you left the window open (remote access enabled) lol.

do ctrl+alt+del and see if it shows any applications running you dont recognize then take a screen shot of running processes so you can search it later. next unplug your internet to break the connection and see if that stops it. if it stops it may just be remote access issue and your just in need of new paswords and firewalls. if it keeps trying then its into your system itself and the reformat will be the quickest way to be 100% sure you get rid of it.

it's not a message the computer says it

where can i turn remote access off

Next time it comes up, screenshot it, I have a feeling I know what it is...

If it's what I think it is, I'd recommend a software tool called "Derik's Boot and Nuke". does what it says on the tin, minus the causing cancer and explosion. And you can put stuff back there.

well you need to reformat and only keep documents files, assuming you can even get to them, avoid keeping anything related to program files as they might contain the bug. you could try to manually find and remove it but that almost always takes longer than reformating and your never sure if you found all the virus since if you missed anything they will reinstall themselves as soon as you turn the computer back on.

unless you absolutely have to keep something i always recommend getting rid of everything to play it safe.

as you already have guessed make sure you trun off remote access when you get set up again and get good antivirus and firewalls.

oh, dont forget your passwords are in someone elses hands so never use those again.

i cant take ascreenshot because i dont get a message i just hear this computer voice that says "systems acces"

In that case, I know what it is. Boot 'n' nuke time mate. If you use more than one partition, do them all to be safe.

I'm not entirely sure how it works, but it's one of those viruses that rootkit to hide itself. It's nothing to worry about, it's hoaxware, but other viruses can use the rootkit it uses to get into your system. It's usually picked up, but you must have a new variant or something.

so if i run northon anti viruse it will go away

please take a screen shot of task managers running proccesses and post here.

It might do. But Norton is known for being crap. I tested it on one of my very old comps, clean Windows install, put ~1500 viruses on there, it only found 650 :wtf:

No, sometimes viruses copy themselves to empty sectors, but hide. It might stay if it copies itself to an already formatted area of the drive. Boot and Nuke goes over 7 times, the DoD use it. It take slonger, but it's foolproof.

ok this are the screen shots

i wasnt talking about formating a partition, i was talking a complete reformat of the whole drive and repartition it as needed. followed by a fresh new install of windows and his programs.

boot n nuke is great tool, i use it to clean hdd before selling but a complete reformat will effectivly kill any virus, now if it is actually a worm you might need to nuke it but worms are very rare and only erase data not steal it.

Download and install Adaware SE and the updates then download SpyBot by S&D and updates and also download AVG rootkit and updates ...then boot to safe mode and run first adaware SE then run SpyBot then run AVG rootkit then run norton to scan all your drives ....then boot to normal windows and see if that helps .....Also if you have a different pc you can slave your drive to that PC and scan it with the virus suite on the alternative PC ...or reformat as recomended by others.

did you turn off remote access when you loaded your new system? windows installs with it on as default.

also did you open your firewall somehow? make any exceptions?

Nuke it again. Did you reuse your hard drive?
