Well...it seems like this isn't going away. Shut down remote connection and see if it shuts up, but if you use it eventually, it's going to come back. Also, you could switch over to linux lol.

i suggest you do this to track it down, first remove any sensative information from your pc, then call your isp and have them give you another ip address, then make sure you have a normal router installed not a wireless because they are easy to tap into, the router works as a locked door to be a very secure firewall. next remove all exceptions from your windows firewall, uninstall all those game update programs along with punkbuster and gamespy and all that, they could be where the attack is coming from. most cases someone you pissed off is the one attacking your computer so that could tip you off as to where its coming from so you can block it.

and lastly the fact that it is back is only for 2 reasons, 1 you brought it to the new computer when you transfered your files over, or 2 it is a door you opened to let it in so you need to figure out where it came from in order to be able to perminently block it even if it means staying off all your online games until you find it. unblocking and playing one game at a time to be sure its ok then move on to the next game.

yes, those bastards are made like that, the minute they detect another drive or another partition they copy themselves there so if you kill it its already made copies. its like stomping the roaches before they lay eggs so to speak because its like killing roaches, they hide everywhere.

there is no way around it, the minute you connected the drives together you poisoned it. reformat the entire drive and do a complete new fresh install of everything. and DO NOT CONNECT THE DRIVES TOGETHER lol if i were you i would forget it all and not even try to recover anything from either drive. consider them blank and nuke both before you go any further, then format both and reinstall windows on your pc.
