Taskbar alternative to core temp ?

core temp 1.17 and 1.18 is not showing the right cpu usage, i think it's related to the windows 11 22H2 update

HWiNFO can show any value in the taskbar

CoreTemp 1.18 with W11 22H2 working fine here. Check your CT settings.

But I agree you can verify with HWiNFO.

Sorry - I only use CoreTemp for temps so that is what I thought you meant. And not sure what you mean by usage? If you mean load, I just told CT to display that too, and it seems to be working fine for me as well.

No. Where are you seeing that? I am looking at the CoreTemp settings page right now and nowhere is "CPU usage" or "Utilization".

There are many setting for temperatures. Under "Extra icons", there are the following:

Processor frequency​

Processor load​

RAM utilization​

Power consumption​

That's it.

Is processor load and utilization the same

So if you want folks to help you, you need to use the correct terminology. Or at the very least, use the same terminology as used in program you are seeking help with.

Note this is NOT about being picky. It is so everyone is on the same page to avoid confusion (for all concerned) and possible misinterpretation resulting in you possibly getting incorrect advice - which I am sure you don't want.
