"Prompt engineering" is no longer a job, but a skill
Just two years ago, prompt engineering was the talk of the tech world – a seemingly essential new job born from the rapid rise of artificial intelligence....

What was once a highly touted skill set is now simply expected of anyone working with AI. In an ironic twist, some companies are even using AI to generate prompts for their own AI systems, further diminishing the need for human prompt engineers.
I also used the 'Deep Research' feature of ChatGPT Beta edition recently, and fuck me sideways it took almost 9 minutes to answer me, and it was a PhD level response with 46 works cited. Fucking unbelievable.
Honestly not sure what the future looks like, but I think we may see an exodus of jobs soon. The compounding gains are bigger than anyone anticipated I think, after my own experience using Deep Research function anyway.
