Hi all,
got a small problem with the temp readings on my NF7-s rev 2 :(

some times when i boot, in the bios, mbm and abit eq, the temp reads 24c then when i reboot it
says 34c? :confused:
i have flashed the latest bios and still the same thing?
should i just install a temp probe and just not trust the hardware monitoring?

ps. my CPU is water cooled :D

Hey

Is the 24c in a cold boot...then you get the 34c after its been running? Cause when I first start up my temps are like 20c but the temps get up to about 40c after a bit. And your liquid cooling would warm up after a bit of running too. Don't really know, just a idea. :D

Thanx, but no, it alternate's every couple of boots, eg.
turn on = 34c
restart = 24c
restart = 34c (repeat a good couple of times)
then back to 24c ?
or vice versa :(

All I can say is weird... :confused: Ahhh heres a idea, put like a thermometer ontop of the water block after the computer has been running a while. When you get an reading add like 10C to it and see what your temp is. If it is like one of the readings you get from the hardware monitor thats your ~temp. I could give you a rought estimite of the true temp. I tryed it with my heatsink, mmy hardwaare mon said it was like 40c and I did the thermometer and it said about 30c. But even if the hottest it got was 34c...its not worth worrying about. Now if the was more like 60c or so then I would start to worry a bit, lol.

i have a Aerogate 2 with 4 temp probes, and i will test with that,
but i wanted to get a usb VFD, (like the crystal fontz one) which is software driven and if i can't get an accurate reading of the mobo there is no point :(
