Testing CPU pins?

How can I make sure all my CPU pins are functioning? I know some pins, you can do without, so simply powering up and seeing if everything works is not enough. Is there a utility I can use?

Uh, not really.

Why? Are you having a problem? If a pin isn't broken off I'm sure it's fine.

testing individual cpu pins that aren't physically broken is just to technical, and time / labor intensive to be worth taking up. If your cpu is acting up , and you don't already know what to do - you're most likely not going to be the one to repair it. and again, the time and tools necessary are prohibitive - it's just not worth it. if you don't have the money to replace it - you're not going to have the money to repair it.

If you don't know whether the cpu is having problems, or the cause of a problem - then get some kind of cpu burn in software - i have one somewhere I will try and find the name and post. here is a different one from cnet - i haven't tried it.

it's simply that a dead pin that is not physically broken really would point to a manufacturing screw up. it is pretty much unheard of in even our user environment. even if you got a proper test board, and pinout and tested all 700-1400 pins ... what are you gonna do to fix it? it's not broken! are you going to then open up the processor and fix the machining with your hands?

it's just not feasible.
