Welcome........ Because probably you have a very weak (in gaming terms..... only 16 Cuda cores) Business graphics card with only 512MB of memory and the game minimum specs suggests at least 1GB?

yup, that GPU is something found in a PC like a Dell precision, or another type of Workstation...Not meant to render anything, but games useless.
sadly i cant imagine turning settings down will make any difference either. sorry.

as others have said and as you seem to know graphics ( memory ) are the failure point
this means your need to upgrade your graphics card to at least the recommended spec for your game

Really I just had a derp moment. But I didn't think I had to have a 1GB card either.

I'm in the process of building a new PC. So no more issues with graphics.

I took it he meant he just realized it after posting, or after your response.

Great game though OP, so if you can afford to upgrade your GPU, I highly recommend doing so.

I did realized after that. lol

I've found a card and will have it in the next week.

Look for yellow exclamation mark icon or even red cross. It's easiest if you open this right after you run the game and it crashes. Then post a screenshot of that, we'll have more info there what caused the crash.

Worryingly, although I appreciate minimum specs are not always a science.... just a guide but they suggest your CPU may also struggle.

I really hope you aren't actually going for that 710 are you? That is not much better than what you already have and certainly not a card for gaming. Heck it's been rebranded now so many times it's old enough to STILL be PCI-E 2-0. If you are looking for a good "budget" card you need to look at the 750, 950 for example. That is the "bottom" of the gaming range as far as I'm concerned.

Also if OP is ok buying second hand there should be some bargains soon as people sell their cards in order to upgrade to Polaris and Pascal cards.

I don't do that much gaming, I do more photo work it will be fine for that, The Evil Within is the only high spec game I have for the PC.

I buy parts used only if it's off Ebay or anywhere trusted. But I will have to look into getting one.

Having extensive experience selling and buying on e-bay, and about 15 sales/purchases here on TPU, you are much more likely to get something exactly as advertised from here on TPU! :)

Buyers and sellers here must be registered with Heatware as a precaution. Additionally, very few people here are going to be willing to screw over another member they have to face everyday.

Realistically, around $700 is the starter sweet spot for building a budget PC with new, warrantied parts. You can go as low as $500, but it's not really worth it to save that $200.

I say this because you take your chances with used parts, and they might have a lot of wear and tear on them. Plus one high end game can easily turn into several once you get bitten by the gaming bug.

Get at least a low profile (if preferred) GTX 750 or GTX 750Ti.

Dual-slot 750
*Palit GeForce GTX 750 StormX OC, 2GB GDDR5 ~ 98€ new (cheapest here in EU)

*ASUS GeForce GTX 750 OC, GTX750-PHOC-2GD5, 2GB GDDR5 (with low profile bracket)

Dual-slot 750ti, low profile bracket
*MSI GeForce GTX 750 Ti, N750Ti-2GD5TLP, 2GB GDDR5 ~ 105€ new (also the cheapest in EU)

Still cheap imo and MUCH better then 710GT.. That 710GT @ The Evil Witin won't be playable at all..
Might as well save those 50-60$ for something else.

You can also try newer 353.xx or 362.00 or newest 365.¸19 driver.
I see you use some old 341.xx, not even sure if the game supports this old driver in the first place.
