I seems there is no content about this game in TP forums? Let's focus more about the known problems The Last of Us brings with it's Windows releases - now that both games are available on PC, with the recently released remastered second part of the game. But i have problems with the first game - the game crashes shortly after loading a scene/check point. In my case, unless you launch it in safe mode after the crash, there is no coming around this problem. I have seen people complain about this in steam, but so far there has not been identified a single problem that causes it - it happens with both AMD and NVIDIA video cards.

After launching the game in safe mode, my graphical settings were auto-adjusted from ultra to high, then i played past the timestamp where it crashed previously, but it still would crash in the future. This happens with no CPU overclock and with both: GPU undervolt and default GPU settings, so there is that!

If someone knows what is the proper fix - talk. Also, you can spill your experiences in the form of "wordly manure" on the part 2 - any problems with the new release? Reveal it!

PCGH claims that part 1 got some update recently. Something about FSR4 support or something like that. I would not be surprised that they ruined the game

I played the "giveaway AMD hardware purchase part 1 steam version a few weeks ago". That was before the update. And that did not crash with w11 pro / powercolor radeon 7800xt hellhound / ryzen 7600x / 2x32GiB DRAM / KC3000 2tB NVME. I wanted to play the girl part but I really dislike the game by now.

My other games also sometimes crash when I update amd gpu driver, amd mainboard software. That is a windows 11 pro issue. I saw it two times. The game is for a long time on my disk and did not get any changes from the epic game store. One of the few games which are semi offline playable. I do only update w11 pro every month - that's it. Gaming only installation.

It was widely advised to turn off FSR (in-game) - initially that helped. But then i experienced a crash with FSR turned off. And i am using Windows 10.

With RX 7800XT no FSR is needed anyway; i am getting 100 - 120 FPS on ultra settings all the time at 1200p. That's why i turn vsync on (monitor is 100 Hz).
