So I recently built my first gaming pc and I am a little concern about the 24 pin connector connected to my motherboard. There a a very small gap between the 24 pin connector from being fully connected to the motherboard but the latch on the 24 pin seem latch on does this mean it is secured and able to be properly working.

Here a picture of my 24 pin connector latch does this look latch on to the connector

That looks good to me. For what is worth, i've never been able to latch the 24-pin on any of my pcs and never had an issue. As long as it is properly seated in the connector and making good contact it should be fine

Thank you appreciate the response

The latch is intended to keep the plug in-place even if you move the case around.

1. Put your weak hand beneath the motherboard, if your fingers are too big, just hold the edge.

2. Press with 2-3 fingers above the 20+ section with enough strength.

looks good, just the latch that could be better but as long as the cable sit right it's ok

Is the latch clip on right to the motherboard

Its fine but have you placed the cpu power in top as well - then your good to go

As long as the connector is fully in/seated to the ATX plugin header it's fine.
Those connectors aren't exactly gonna just pop out anyway, even if you "Unlatch" it you still have to put a tad of effort to pull the plug out.

Alr I guess it fully seated in maybe I will just get an cable extension to see if they work better is it possibly that when I am unplugging the 24 pin it rips the socket out with the 24 pin

The clip is over the latch on the motherboard does that mean it clipped in right or?
it's ok sometimes the plastic clip not sit right, i mean from the position actually it's locking although you may see it not fully lock
from the side the connector sit tight to the board, so you are pretty good

you may try unplug it and reconnect it to make sure

From the side of the connector there is this very very small gap about half a mm is that fine my pc is working fine by the way even with this very small cap between the connector and the motherboard

I agree with the others, it will be fine. However, if you really want to latch it, you can lean into it with some force and wiggle it left and right. If that doesn't latch it, nothing will.

yep, there's small gap but if you look closer it's straight, from edge to edge the gap is the same so i assume it sits right. so there's no worry about that

Thank you all for your help I am just a little paranoid even though nothing wrong well have a nice day

I agree with the others and you are good to go. But I also think you are wise to be cautious, even if, this time, it is not a worry. So I would suggest every time you open the side panel for periodic cleaning or other maintenance, of after you relocate your computer, give the connector a little press to satiate your paranoia by ensuring the connector is properly seated. While in there, do the same for all the power and data cables too.
