Thermal paste on the lid? no, no problem.

Just make sure your paste is evenly distributed when you put your heatsink back on.

What thermal paste is it?

no, thermal paste on the pins, it came like it when i recieved it from kyle2020

id clean it more and then try it.

im on it now actually, it SEEMS to be runnin good with the CPU @ 3.3ghz

if its good, then its good..
but be careful for electrically conductive thermal paste such as AS5
it can short your pins and kill your CPU and Mobo..

if you connect 2 pins together on the socket, you can use cotton swap with alcohol to clean the socket and then dry it.

will have to wait till kyle chimes in to see wat thermal paste is is

Durrr, I'm an idot sorry. If theres thermal paste in the socket then you should clean it very carefully prior to using it.

+1000000 for cleaning thoroughly before using, best to use rubbing alcohol that is like 99% pure as it contain's less water ;)
