Thermalright is readying a new CPU cooler modeled around the twin-block tower design that is getting some takers these days, the Silver Arrow. This cooler uses two aluminum fin blocks that dissipate heat from the CPU, with air circulated by two 140 mm TY-series fans. Heat is conveyed to the two blocks by four U-shaped 8 mm thick nickel-plated copper heat pipes. The fans spin at 500-1300 rpm, with noise-levels of up to 21 dBA. All current CPU sockets are supported, including LGA1366, LGA1156, AM3/AM2(+), and LGA775. Pricing is yet to be known.

looks like a successor to the ifx-14. Loved that heatsink. Sold my megahalems because the ifx-14 was doing better. Hope these are as good or better as well.

pirating the designs of the vomit color brand from Austria... can't remember the name :)

Horrible looking fans (why the washed out vomit colour with sky blue?), but sweet looking heatsink ;)

It is possible to install 2 other 14mm fans, as I see!

Damn that is so UGLY, could be the best cooler out there but i would not buy it as it just looks nasty.

I bet it performs better than this years OTHER Silver Arrow. :p

Isn't Cogage a daughter company of Thermalright? Because this seems a lot like a rebranded Cogage Arrow, with a few alterations to the fin design. Will be interesting to see if there are any improvements.

Yes Cogage is owned by Thermalright. The Silver Arrow has a better mounting system than the Cogage Arrow (it's more like the Venomous-X with the pressure adjustments) and it should have a more smooth base like the Venomous-X. This is the main flaw in the Cogage Arrow.

The Cogage Arrow is an updated IFX-14. The Arrow has 2 less fins (55 x 2 vs 56 x 2) but thicker fins, more space between the fins, added tilt onto the fins to increase surface area, different fin shape and they included a fan with it. The Noctua NH-D14 came out after the IFX-14. The NH-D14 is not a clone. It has less fins (48 x 2 if I remember correctly), more space between the fins for greater effectiveness with low noise fans, six 6mm heat pipes opposed to four 8mm heat pipes, a smoother base and a better mounting system than the IFX-14 and Cogage Arrow.

I am anticipating the release of the Silver Arrow. I'll get one along with three 120mm x 38mm fans, hopefully Delta if I can afford them at the same time. Hopefully Arctic Cooling MX-4 will be for sale at the time.
