We're entering the second month of the year this coming week and the games being released next week are a mix of turn-based strategy RPG, Sci-Fi and something a bit more child friendly. There are multiple AA, but no AAA titles being released this week and of course, don't forget to vote in the poll.

The King's Dilemma: Chronicles / Monday 30 January
Lead the King's Council for generations as the consequences of your decisions decide the kingdom's resources and political standing. Form alliances, solve dilemmas, and prepare for the final uprising that was foretold by an ancient prophecy.

SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake / Tuesday 31 January
Wish-granting Mermaid's Tears in the hands of SpongeBob and Patrick… What could go wrong? Sure, the very fabric holding the universe together could come undone, opening portals into wild Wishworlds. But that's nothing our favorite sponge can't handle- with the right cosmic costume!

Dimensions: Dreadnought Architect / Wednesday 1 February
Design your dreadnought from modules more conveniently and flexibly. Command your capital ship with a captain's experience. Beat distinctive enemies with smart strategy. Plan routes on a procedurally generated galaxy map. Have fun with your friends through network play.

Deliver Us Mars / Thursday 2 February
Sequel to the award-winning Deliver Us The Moon, Deliver Us Mars is an atmospheric sci-fi adventure offering an immersive astronaut experience. Explore new frontiers on a suspense-fuelled, high-stakes mission to recover the ARK colony ships stolen by the mysterious Outward.

SpellForce: Conquest of Eo / Friday 3 February
On a journey to great magical might, explore and control the lands of Eo in this ever-changing turn-based strategy role-playing game. Field armies and heroes in tactical combat, finish hundreds of quests, and gather spells and artefacts to become the most powerful mage of all.

Pre-ordered Deliver us Mars, enjoyed the Moon one :D

If anyone's interested The Kings Dilemma is an adaptation of a board game. It's focused a lot on negotiation, so it will be interesting to see how that is handled.

In case devs are lurking;

Folks, GOG dot com. Get on it, or there are a lot of us who will have no interest in your games. Put simply, no GOG, no money from me!

Spongebob and Deliver Us Mars.

And then I'm playing Dead Space and Fire Emblem Engage.

Best game to come out this year so far is Hi-fi Rush!

So many games in 2023. Will be a record year. Already two 9/10s from me for Dead Space and Hibiki (Hi-fi Rush). Fire Emblem Engage had good combat, but the character designs and some story elements were lacking for me. Childish anime stuff that annoyed me a bit. Hope they go more serious fantasy next time.

I heard HI Fi is amazing.

I heard HI Fi is amazing.
It's a fun game, it's in the gamepass. I played an hour and I liked the way it's not stressful, the tempo is always sync'ed with your first hit so you just have to keep going with the tempo.
If you don't like the gamepass, it's not expensive on Steam (30€). (Far from those 70€/$70 stealings. I still can't understand how companies try to sell cd keys at this price.)

I'll wait for Pluto...
Disney Celebrate GIF by Hong Kong Disneyland

I was going to vote for Spongebob but "free costume pack" suggest this kids oriented game has DLC/mtx in it so it's cancer.

Deliver thing looks interesting.

Been looking forward to Spellforce for months now.

Reviews are in for SpongeBob. Sad. 5/10 etc.

Oh well, at least we got a good remake.

I REALLY hope Deliver Us Mars is good.

Spellforce 3 is nice. Been playing it for some time and I like it.
