Thortech is an affiliate brand of GeIL. It's been making industrial/server PSUs for 15 years now.

Preempting the "I've never heard of them, must be shit." crowd eh?

Thortech is an affiliate brand of GeIL. It's been making industrial/server PSUs for 15 years now.

So they actually make them or do they just design them and get some other company to produce them like Corsair does?

I love the idea of the iPower Meter showing the efficiency, wattage, temperature and fan control.

Fan control is something i would love to have as my corsair HX620 can get pretty toasty but the fan always stays 100% silent, i would love to be able to up the fan speed a little even if it came at the cost of it making a sound for the first time in it's life

Thanks for the link, time to do some reading.

Been seeing a lot of 80 plus GOLD PSUs being released.
Hopefully they will become mainstream within two years or so :toast:

About time company's released their PSU's with a display. Wish jonnyguru tried it without the display connected for those who don't have the space for it.

Heatsinks to me seemed a little small but according to Jonn it does well with them.

who's the oem? i think this is one of the questions on everybody's mind :p

Thortech!!!! That's a brandname I can trust!

I have never heard of Thortech, is this a EU brand, it looks impressive, but I wouldn't have clue where I could see one as I would like to get my hands on one, just how I roll with everything I buy.
