SPOILER ALERT!

Would just like to create this thread since it would encompass more than one game and expansion as the discussion would include Origins, the Awakening expansion and the upcoming full sequels. The DLCs of course would also matter.

So thoughts on Thedas then. Most of them of course are working on assumptions based on decisions made in-game.

Is Hawke your son/daughter? - The sequel has a "10 years long" plot, I'm not sure yet how long since Origins/Awakening it would be, but this is in the realm of the possible.

Could Thedas eventually match Faerun? - Well, personal opinion mostly, but it really is still a "wait and see" for this considering the sheer amount of "data" available for Faerun in terms of games, novels, etc. The comparison is made because Dragon Age is considered the spiritual successor of Baldur's Gate.

Classes: do we need more, or three's just right? - Maybe integrating the other specializations into their own classes as well? I don't know, but it's really up for the debate.

It's not your son/daughter. They happen at the same time. Once Lothering burns to the ground that's when the sequel picks up. The child escapes and becomes a hero in a far off land.

So Hawke really has parents then, but I find the claim as him/her being the single most important hero of the Dragon Age when one of the greatest Warden-Commanders of the Grey Wardens after 4 centuries is still alive (especially considering that decisions in Origins and Awakening would affect DA2) quite incredible without some connection between the two.

Origins is approximately 9:30 to 9:32. Awakening is roughly within 9:32. Lothering was destroyed in 9:30.

So unless Hawke ISN'T an Old God already....

@Entropy13 ...
Please put "SPOILER ALERT" at the top of your original post for people who have not played DA.
Thanks. :toast:
