I'm getting the following error with ThrottleStop 8.6...

I added the folder to be excluded from virus protection. What am I doing wrong?

The missing file might be related to your systems Visual C++ Runtime files.

To resolve the problem, please first run "Windows Update" to ensure that your system has all the latest system updates from Microsoft.

If this doesn't resolve the issue, please try download and install Visual C++ 2013 from the link below.

Important:
For 64-bit version of Windows, make sure to install both files: "vcredist_x86.exe" and "vcredist_x64.exe".
Whereas for 32-bit version of Windows, only install the "vcredist_x86.exe"

I skipped the update step and downloaded both files. Throttlestop is running fine now, hope it works for you too.
 
funzel, after installing both files throttlestop is working fine for me as well. thanks!
 
Protip: grab the visual studio all in one runtime package from our Downloads section it has all the versions that came out over the years in one pack.
