Top easy fast paced games in all platforms ?

I like easy and fast games without no long story lines or hard puzzles and high replay value: ( Or at least those where I can skip story as fast as possible without paying attention to it or needing it further in the game )
For example:

• Most Nintendo games give me headaches .
• All RPGs and strategy games are no no for me.

It's an oldie, but I've been playing through Mercenaries again. It's on PS2, Xbox, and was re-released on Xbox 360, though I heard that version has some issues. It's also been ported to PS3, I believe.

For what it's worth, my PS2 copy runs pretty well on my jailbroken PS3. That was my last thing I did... jailbreaking the PS3, heh.

If you don't have any of that, it's pretty easy to run PSCX2 (PS2 emulator) these days. IIRC it should even run well on a q6600, so...
