Hey TPUfolk,

I'm looking for a different case for my server.

The current specs are
i9-12900k
ID-Cooling DX 360 Max
Asus Z790v AX
64GB 6400Mhz DDR5
RTX 3070 Blower
2x M.2 PCIe 4.0 SSDs
Some MSI power supply

It's in a thermaltake V100 at the moment, not a horrid case but it lacks storage options and I hope to add drives in the future. It has 140mm Arctic P14s so something with 140mm support in the front.

The Phanteks Enthoo Pro 2 server edition looks perfect, but it's pretty pricey and generally out of stock.

Everything has a glass side panel now which I'm not really interested in that as I'd like some fans on the side. Another blower 3070 is probably going in at some point.

Any recommendations?

Removable drive bays a plus
Side fan mounting a must
Top 360mm rad support a must
The more airflow the better

Doesn't have to be new, if you remember an old model you thought would be a great server tower case I could check it out on ebay.

I'm not sure how many drives you're looking to use, but the Fractal North XL has side fan mounting options with mesh panels and up to 4 drives. Also fits a 360mm rad in the top.

Also, speaking of old, I have a be quiet! Dark Base 900 (V1), and while mine has a glass side panel, you were able to order it with two solid panels that both have a pop out cover that you can remove and mount two side-fans to (it's even filtered). I have used it to mount fans on the rear side before. It also had a bunch of removeable drive bay options. It came with a couple (few? I can't remember how many) drive cages and you could purchase more to add to it as well. they install from the back side with thumb screws, so really simple. It also fits up to a 420mm rad in the top, the motherboard tray can go up and down, and if you're creative about it, you can improve the airflow (I opened up the baffles in the top panel to improve airflow for example).

The new 901 has the same drive bay features (but comes with less cages I think...more purchasable separately). I just don't think you can order it with two non-glass side panels that have the fan mounts like the old case. It has much better airflow than the old case by default though, so it's still a really nice case if you need to add all those drives to it.

Thanks for the recommendations everyone! I’ll post the build when it’s redone
