We’ve spent the last few weeks putting the finishing touches on the first public beta of Trillian 5 for Windows, and today we are excited to release it for download! Trillian 5 represents an incredible overhaul of Trillian’s usability and user interface and the furthering of our quest to provide interoperability between everyone, everywhere. With Trillian 5 you are in full control of your social and IM worlds like never before!

TRILLIAN 5 FOR WINDOWS PUBLIC BETA:

* Trillian 5 is a new “major release” and Pro customers will need to purchase a new license at a discount. Our 30 day pricing protection has been enabled from the point of our first announcement, meaning 30 days before July 1st, 2010. Therefore, if you purchased Pro anytime after June 1st, 2010 you’ve already got Trillian 5! Licenses are still on sale during our beta and will return to full price upon final release.
* Synchronized activity history is not yet ready for this build and will be unveiled in a future beta build of Trillian 5. We are still hard at work on the backend to make this possible.
* We will immediately begin the process of fixing bugs and tweaking features for Trillian 5.
* Dark theme lovers: a black theme is on the way!

Well Trillian 4 you could use without buying it although you add some ads. Maybe T5 is the same or at least when it's out of beta.

I was using trillian 4 for about 4-5 years and that was good for my needs till MSN changed their proticals a month or so ago..

I have tried Miranda and did not like it.

Yeah i brought T4 with trillion 4 working for me for so long with no issues with no ads i thought why not.

And yeah their support is fast well was last time took then about 12 hours to get back in touch with a solution.

never experienced a issue with v4 or v5. Last time i had issue's of that kind was with v3

Back when I used Trillian(version 3), it was free but there was a Pro version that had more features but wasn't free(though it was pretty cheap, IIRC).

Basically the main reason to go pro back then was to suppor them, to get better support, and to get skin and add-on support.

version 5 is alot better than the train wreck version 4 was, the best one in my eyes was version 3.x
