i was on the ati site today and saw and ad for triple crossfire. the ad explained that two gpus would run rendering, and one would run physics. the one thing that i really noticed was that they said that the physics card did not need to be very fast to work well, as long as it was an x1000. i only have 2 pci-e slots, so i was wondering, for anyone who knows something about this, if i could use a regular pci x1550 for physics to speed up my two x1600 cards on pci-e. i know that no-one is likely to have this, but i was just wondering.

There is very little info on the physics, it can be another ati graphics card, or be a totally new card that we havent heard about. Also same with nvidia (there third pci-ex slot is meant for physics also).

also isint there only 1 motherboard that supports it, the Bad axe 2? as of this moment

Are there even drivers for the physics ,thats a public release? ?

Or is it the mobo that does the work?
