Hello!
I have had this 2nd hand rx 480 8gb for a couple of years now and it worked perfecly. It has been used for mining in the past and I know for a fact that its original GPU BIOS had been changed for that, but it was never an issue. I had to do a fresh windows installation recently tho, and since then I've been running into a few problems.
The first of which is: my screen freezes every time I try to download the appropriate AMD drivers, without fail. The second problem might be related to the first: Windows device manager doesn't recognize my GPU. It instead reads "INTEL(R) HD Graphics 530". I feel like this might be happening because of the modified BIOS settings, but I'm afraid to mess with that and making things even worse? I'm also unsure what to do if I can't even install the proper GPU drivers.
Any help and insight will be much appreciated!
Edit: I realized that the second my GPU shows on the device manager is the exact time when my pc freezes when installing the driver. Not sure if this matters at all but it's something I've noticed
