Boot from CD
Disk boot fallure
Insert system disk*
The CD is in the tryo_O
I have the CD drive as Slave
What am i doing wrong:eek:
I will write it down when i get an answer ,for future reference:)

I have put the CD drive as first Boot, but it stops at this *Verifing DMI pool
Boot from CD it doesn,t. :(

It says the drive is not reconised yet it is in the settings o_OIt shows it is reconised when the drives are shown and yet that message about the drive shows up underneath when it first trys to boot
o_O.The drive does not show as a primary drive?how do i get it in there?

see all the photos.

I have the same problem on two retro boards getting a system on a CF card.

If I remember correct single devices on IDE cables should be master. From your pictures i see the CD-ROM as slave. Also move the CF to first IDE channel. Keep both devices in Master if on separate channels.
As for the Floppy issue try disable it.

You are a bit unclear in what you are trying to achieve. Do you want to boot a cdrom to install an old OS? If so, it looks like you are not using an actually bootable cd. Or the cdrom is borked (make sure to do the below change first though).

Change the jumper settings on the cdrom to master or single. IDE channels should always be populated master first, then slave. Some controllers don't care. But this is always best practice.

Not what you asked for, but to remove the floppy error message during post, change floppy A to none in the bios menu shown in image 4.

Which OS you try to install?

And make indeed HDD/CF Primary Master, CDROM Primary Slave or Secondary Master

Sometimes CF card have problems with another device on the cable, then put CDROM for sure on Secondary Master

edit: if you have colored IDE connectors at your Mainboard, Blue is mostly the Primary Channel, White Secondary

That is what i am trying to do boot a cdrom to install an old OS.When i had the CF card in the slot nearest to the Ram it said it was a secondary Master l have now moved it to the other slot it is now Primary Master. We are off well it is loading the system anyway. I don,t know if there was something wrong with the other drive.Sad to say that has not worked. :(

Heres hoping windows 2000 will work.I want hold my breath

that error code on google gives undetected hdd.

Does the BIOS on power up shows the HDD now as Primary HDD?

Yes i guess that Disc is CORRUPTed :(I have a integral version of XP 2019 but would not try it on such an old machine.
integral doesnt add any bloat you dont need post install and has all the drivers to get you by.
