Benchmark Scores nothing really.....Intel Q9450 @ 3.7GHZ on air nothing good,
hello all, wondering if underclocked ram is bad....not a bigg overclocker but jst wondering. whats the negatives to it. Well like for example having PC3 16000 running under 2000mghz, would it be bad?

underclocking saves power but also slows down system boot up/ loading times/ etc... I see u have DDR3, they're super fast, downclock if u want.
 
Well, the disadvantages to underclocking RAM are fairly obvious, it will run slower. But if you can decrease the volts you can lower the strain on your power supply. I really would not underclock your ram though, disadvantages are stronger then the advantages.
 
Aim for Over instead of Under more fun and people here are more fond of Over :D
 
Forgot to mention, speed doesn't effect electricity suckage at all, it's the volts that matter.
