Unknown driver error

I am taking a course toward obtaining my A+ certification (after thinking about it for 10 years!). So, there was a video tutorial about device drivers and I came across an alert that showed "Base System Device" driver not loaded. I am testing on an old HP nc6000 laptop. I loaded Windows 7 on it for testing. I have attached a screen shot. I tried using the Windows tool to search for a driver, but the search yielded no results. Any thoughts?

If you have a driver CD, use that.
