Ok I did a search, and I am either blind, or there is nothing recently that covers this. I remember going into the reg and adding a line to the nVidia control panel, that unlocked an internal control for OCing the card. Anyone know what it is?

If you know it, but don't think I should use it, what should I do?

I have an eVGA 7800GT.

Thanks for the help, and sorry if I sound like a fool.

it's way dif than ati, so i had trouble at first too

search for coolbits

it's should be a .reg file

when it asks, do you want to install this info into your registry, click yes (or continue or whatever)

now, in the NV CP, right next to set sli configurations, should be an overclocking configuration tab

try that out

Thanks, I found it heh.

Since I am here, I might as well ask, do you have any suggestions as to how I should OC it?

I just did the choose optimal thing, change it from 470MHz to 504Mhz for Core Clock speed, and 1.10 to 1.17GHz for memory clock speed.

I have it to alert me of any heat above 60C(normally around 40 to 50, or less).
You think I could push it farther? Going to test it out now.

Thanks.

you better go with 70c-80c nvidia sets the 7900 @ 130c till core slows down which seems high to me but 60c you will see if you push it hard

So in otherwords you are saying I am fine with going past 60C? Right now at the current OC that I said before, its doing like 54c to 60c

actually I havent seen it over 56 yet. I think ill give it another little boost, see what happens.

Well at least within the nvidia control panel, it wont let me go past 504 and 1.17.

But it sure did give me a boost in performance just that much.
