That is ridiculously stunning

...and people say UE4 can't look good. :p

Run "Vanishing of Ethan Carter" game and get blown away. The visuals are mind blowing in that game. I think it was one of the first to use UE4 as well.

There is also an older UE4 demo you can download called Paris apartment, equally beautiful.

I've talked to people who've played it and have heard that it's a terrible game. It might look pretty but prettiness means nothing without the gameplay to compliment it.
strangely enough ... i have no complaint about the gameplay ... tho i only play on local :D

multiplayer gameplay rebuke me ... even with "non pvp" on

The only thing that bugged me in this video was the fact that there was electricity in the apartment but no electrical outlets on walls.
The other demo where the fire monster awakens and fights the giant ice monster is the one I don't like since the lava looks terrible to me.

No complaints about the gameplay here either. The story is the strongest aspect of the game. Personally, I think people that complain are those that aren't used to no handholding. The game does not tell you where to go, what to do. What it does do is treat the player as the same situation you'd have in real life: Figure it out.

It does all this amid a stunning backdrop, unfortunately. Why unfortunately? Because it focused all the attention on the graphics, and not on the actual rich story to be discovered.

YES! a true sandbox open ended game! no clue on what to aim or do just ... play and play and play, like it would be a real life stranded on a island with dinosaurs to boot!

about the focus ... i agree but it doesn't set me off tho

Dunno about recently.... but at least for me, even on lower settings, Ark had the worse FPS of any game I have ever played. However, I liked the idea of the game, so I forced myself through the 20-30fps gameplay. Its a fun game but it kinda got old for me (Especially after i discovered the console commands)

It is a newer game and the devs did promise optimization in the future (Who knows when) - I like the idea of the game

i never did console commands and i will never do it, as for my account ;)

Yeah, I dont have the patience for some of things in the game, and its pretty fun to build structures with unlimited materal.... lol I had a house of mine that went across an entire island for shits and giggles.
