I don't know how to update BIOS on Fujitsu Celsius servers. I saw many tutorials but nothing helped. Please help! Thanks in advance

Why do you want to update the BIOS?

The BIOS firmware does NOT need to be updated just because a new version out there. Most updates simply add support for new hardware (CPUs, for example) that came out after the motherboard left the factory. Some do fix bugs, but these typically only affect a very few users in very unique setups.

This is one those scenarios where, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!" applies. And it should be noted that it is extremely rare where a current BIOS suddenly becomes corrupt and needs re-flashing or updating.

Read the changelogs for the updates. If they don't apply to you, there is no need to update the BIOS - especially if these systems have been running fine.

I have Fujitsu Celsius M470-2 with W3565. I tried replacing the existing processor with an X5680, but the computer wouldn't boot. It starts up but shows the status of C3 and B0. I must mention that the X5680 in the R670-2 works without problems. That's why I thought I needed a new bios, which I found on some forums.

Typically, what I would recommend is you visit the motherboard's webpage and look at the CPU QVL (qualified vendors list). Most motherboard makers maintain such lists for their boards (for CPUs and RAM). These are CPUs the board makers have verified are compatible with that specific board. To ensure compatibility, you should buy a listed processor. For RAM, there are just too many RAM makers and models for board makers to test and verify them all. So you don't have to buy listed RAM but should buy RAM with the same specs as listed. RAM.

Sadly, this is the only list of compatible CPUs I can find - and it seems woefully incomplete. Plus, clearly, that's a 3rd party site, not Fijitsu.

If you can find the motherboard's original maker and model number, you might find a more complete list.

Again, if you found more current BIOS firmware, I recommend you read the changelog and see if the newer versions add support for the CPU you want to use.

Here is supported CPU's.

Well then, as you surely already are aware, it "should" support the X5680.

Sorry, I also cannot find a reference indicating what the C3 and B0 codes mean. I only found guesses from the CPU to RAM to a spider in the heat sink to "Bingo". :(

Just to be clear, this computer worked fine with the original W3565, right? And nothing else changed - only the CPUs?

If you put the W3565 back in, does the computer still work fine?

Yes. PC working fine but CPU-Z show DDR3 memory but Task manager show DDR2. Strange!

That is strange. Just looking at a couple W10 and W11 systems here, mine don't say what type at all. On my W10 desktops, they simply say DIMM. On my W11 laptop, it says SODIMM.
