I have a Dell Inspiron 6000 with a X300 ATI mobile dedicated card. Is there anyway to put a better video card in it or is the chip sodered in the motherboard? I dont mind taking it apart if I can get a better card or somthing.

theres several ways to integrate graphics on a notebook, one is a graphics module soldered to board, un upgradable, the 2nd is a graphics module socketed by a mini or costum agp/pci-E slot, it depends on if its a costum or standart piece,
the 3rd one is a project nvidia is pioneering, its called MXM cartridge, its basicly a graphics card on a cartridge with a standart slot, so you could change the graphics card on your laptop as easly as chainging the ram or the harddrive,

you just have to open the casing and see whats inside
