Hey guys,

i'm fed up with using wired headphones and am planning on buying a good set of bluetooth headphones for my iphone and what not.. but here is my question, if i buy the asus bluetooth dongle, can i get sound on the bluetooth headphones? And would it be through the audigy se sound card? etc.etc.

when you connect the bluetooth headset to the PC the audio will mute for a moment, then be routed to the headset, leaving your soundcard doing nothing - I do it on my PC sometimes.

You can go into an app an change it's default audio device though so music will continue to you play over your speakers while you have an audio chat via the headset - the PC will set the headset as the default audio device soon as you pair it, so you will need to either change it after you pair, or set the apps you want to play sounds via the speakers to use the card.

When you unpair, the card will be returned as the default.

Quality bluetooth headphones, well let me tell you, they simply don't exist. You sacrifice sound quality ALOT. Not to mention battery, and remember they only work EXTREMELY close (30ft) to the computer. I actually have to recommend INFRARED, cause if you don't smoke, the sound quality is much better than bluetooth.

I've heard actually the opposite when it comes to bluetooth vs infrared... the main problem with infrared is that it requires a large reciever and any sort of object(such as pillars) will cause the signal to be dropped.. i know some people complain about bluetooth quality, but since bluetooth is already built into my iphone and laptops, i'd be much easier to use bluetooth..
