I have an Alienware laptop from 2014, still in great condition and working perfectly, using it as my main laptop.
But a few apps and games here and there have issues due to the outdated video driver.
So I was watching this guide on youtube: And the guy was using NVCleanstall to install 474.44 on his GTX 880M
I was doing the same thing but the installation of the driver ended in a black screen screen, or rather monitor not coming back on during driver installation.
Even after reboot, the screen stayed blank. Tried hooking up an external monitor but still won't display anything.
I was able to undo the driver using DDU in safemode.
But, is there really a way to install a newer driver than the last supported 425.31 ??
