I normally do not post a thread of my own however I believe this would serve the TPU community better.

@W1zzard @T4C Fantasy @Tatty_One

I am proposing 2 additions to be made to the VGA Bios Collection Search function.

My reasoning is I have been using it for a few years to success of Restoring Bricked and Abused Mining cards despite some ambiguity of missing functions that I am proposing to be added.

I believe these 2 additions would help users find the exact bios they need for their specific card or 1 that closley matches their original as some card companies give excuses not to provide a needed bios file. I believe they should be added to the Pulldown menus that are pictured below.

My first addition is after an End-User selects a Card Brand and specific model that the option of selecting a VRAM brand such as Hynix/SK Hynix Infineon, Micron, and Samsung or any should be available to make it easier to navigate the database.

My other addition is adding the available Device ID/Subsystem ID as an option even as a direct means of searching out cards.

It may reduce End User bricking incidences.

Please consider my thoughts on this.

Thank you.

P.S. All others please be constructive with your replies, any derogatory statements towards me or others will be dealt with accordingly.

Information about the VRAM manufacturer would definitely help a lot.

Anyone else have input?

If it was possible it would be cool.

It may well not be as easy as just adding the options though the work involved to make it possible would be invaluable and would save having to open 10+- links for the same card (even more in some cases)and having to sort through the device id and vram mfr manually +1 from me.

More Input is Welcome

Yes, keep them coming please

Man W1zzard it takes patience to help restore gpus lol, my next project is restoring 6 RX580s

I think that it would be good as the more information you can get on a product is always better in my eyes.

I like it, especially the device ID search, very useful and time saving. Memory selector useful as well although I notice that there are quite a few Bioses in the collection that list more than one memory type, that may confuse things but I am guessing it would take a fair amount of work, although probably worth the effort!

Yes memory types would help as not all bios have multiple memory tables inside

Would a GPU Architecture Family (example: GF106 (Fermi)) search add value also? Was thinking about the amount of fake cards going around and how long it was taking me to sift through the database for variants and matches.

I know GF 106 can be searched for via pulldown.

I think this would be a welcome addition.
