What is a good videoediting program? I like the linear aspect of Vegas Video. Is there another program like that? I'm not to worried about effects I just need it to cut/splice clips of the kids to send to there grandma. :D

Windows movie maker.:D

second on the premiere. using premiere pro 2, very intuitive. a bit spendy tho.... but with the powers of the internet....

if you have a mac, imovie is SUBURB!

Pinnacle Studio is pretty nice, has a lot of features including green-screen (if you pay for it).

I'm trying the demo of Vegas Movie Studio. I like it so far. I'm familiar with it since I used the old Vegas and ACID for music. Premiere...? Adobe Premiere?

Avidemux on *nix

currently using the latest version of sony vegas; love it beyond belief!

i've used premier for the past 6 years or so but switched to vegas it was just as good and better for audio at the same time as video.

don't know how the latest renditions of premiere are regarding stability ... but i was always fighting bugginess and random crashes ... also, hella bad time getting it to work with particular codecs.

sony vegas has been like a dream compared to my experience with premiere ... but then again ... i have not used the latest version of premiere so do some good research ...
