Just for those of you interested who have looked at 1Strive's Windows Vista Beta 2 thread the official Beta has now been released to the general public. Visit here for more details, you can either chose the (huge) x64 version or the standard 32bit Vista. Enjoy! :rockout:

At present the servers are very busy so you might have trouble downloading it, but for some people it may download better if you say you are in the USA even if you aren't I've read. I recommend using IE to start downloading it because the page doesn't display correctly in my Firefox and use a download manager in case you get cut out!

yay finally specs put together by microsoft that are posted and werent just said at some meeting.

A Windows Vista Capable PC includes at least:

Yeah, the site is still too busy so I still haven't even been able to start... I would Torrent it but it can be slow and you're not sure what you're getting until you have it. I did download office 2007 beta and that looks really nice but probably uses loads of system resources.

i am using bitorrent and it is going pretty fast 150kb/s avg 77% complete

Not working out for me, tried BitTorrent, then from MS, doesn't seem to burn to DVD correctly.
 
new s-ata drive

well instead me trying to partition my hd i am going right now to buy a 160gig s-ata hd to run vista on.
