I decided to install vista on my pc with my 3850 in it and after installing the drivers for the very first time on a fresh install of the OS i get nothing but a black screen after vista loads with the little bar. If i go into safemode it will boot and I have to remove the drivers to use it, but its slow because theirs no hardware acceleration without the drivers. Should I just reinstall XP or what.

Can ya hook us up with some specs man.

E2140@2.4Ghz
2GB DDR2 667
Antec NeoPower 650
AsRock 4CoreDual(I THINK THIS IS THE PROBLEM)
Powercolor HD 3850@800/1100
Sound Blaster X-Fi Gamer
2X 160GB SATA

This sucks, I had no problems on XP and I know this PC meets vista's requirements but asrock will not update their drivers I can find no chipset drivers for this board that are for vista

which 4core is it the VSTA or the SATA2 version

EDIT the VSTA has an older VIA chipset release for XP only released in late 06, but the sata2 which looks to use the same chipset(possibly) has a Vista driver for its VIA chip. Dont know for a fact it is the same chipset, you may want to hit customer support there for this one!
