I bought this a week ago M.2 Module Case for Raspberry Pi 5 , and just assembled it today . First thing was that the Keyboard did not work the mouse was working. they are both wireless.I thought i saw a message saying i did not have enough power ,i am using the the official PI 5 power supply,Then i thought i would take the top off i had not screwed it on lucky enough.:) And found the the PI Active cooler was not working:(It looks like the. NVME has been recognised it is a new one so not been formatted. I thought there was something with the batteries i tried the Keyboard on my Mac it works on there. I got this case after being unable to get the NVME to work on there. The Keyboard worked fine on there. So why is the fan not working ,the yellow wire is facing out to the NVME.
One thing i don,t like about the case is it does not have a on and off button like the DrskPI. I do like the metal case though. I don,t have a USB Keyboard to try on here . :( Why would the mouse work and the Keyboard not?o_O

Pi5 Waveshare Case Issues

If you are experiencing issues with the keyboard and fan not working on your Raspberry Pi 5 with the Waveshare M.2 case, there are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue.

For the keyboard issue, ensure that the virtual keyboard is installed correctly. You can install the matchbox keyboard and set up a toggle script to enable the virtual keyboard. Follow these steps:

I see it now says failed to open NMVE :(I did not think it had that problem ,it did not say that when i first tried it:(

I see there is a problem using a wireless keyboard on a pi if i new that i would never have bought it but it is to late to send it back.:(
Using a wireless keyboard with the Raspberry Pi 5 can be problematic due to power supply requirements and compatibility issues. The Raspberry Pi 5 requires a specific power supply that can deliver 5V at 5A with Power Delivery, which many off-the-shelf power supplies do not meet.25 Additionally, Apple's Bluetooth implementation is proprietary and can be problematic on non-Apple products, which may affect the functionality of an Apple wireless keyboard with the Pi 5.2

To troubleshoot, ensure you are using the official Raspberry Pi 5 power supply. If you are using a different power supply, the Pi 5 might limit the power it provides to the USB ports, which could cause issues with peripherals like wireless keyboards.5 Another step is to check if your keyboard is recognized by the system. You can do this by connecting the keyboard after booting and checking if it is listed when you run lsusb.7

The HDMI is working fine on the PI4 and the ethernet cable to ,so why is my pi5 showing nothing on the screen plus the fact the fan spins for a few seconds then goes off?

Ethernet blinks so that is working.fan spins for a few seconds then goes off, no picture on the monitor. The unit lights up green. When i first tried it i got the pi start up screen.it first said the NVME was off. When i tried it later it said it could not open the NVME drive .Next time i tried it no picture i had put the os on the drive with my Windows 11 pc.I just don,t get it, i told Lee the youtube PI man about it he said the pi has problems with the NMVE .I had another case the deskpi and could not get the NMVE to open so i sent it back ,i thought it was the pci cable it is so delicate like most guys i have big hands. :(But i showed the photo of it and the person said it was correctly connected
It would be if it worked :(,why am i having all the problems with it?It all looks like it is wired up properly don,t you think? That is the on thePI4the RetroXP i like that to.:)
There must be PI users it could help me here.I will have to try and get a usb keyboard .Not that it would solve the problem of it not showing on the screen. If i can,t i will have to send a second case back. Its a shame its not a bad case :(Have look at it close to see if it is connected the right way?Check the pci cable
