Hello all I have a weird issue with my CMStorm QuickFire Rapid. Today I desided to do a minor cleaning of my keyboard. Now heres the weird part all I did was take all the kays off and blow out the undertray (area under the keys) no actual washing or anything just blew it out. But I did wash the actual tops and sides of the keys. And now some of my keys are lightly sticking down. Like as soon as you hear the switch click before the key bottoms out thats where some of the keys are sticking. So I'm guessing the switches are sticking and not the keys sticking down to the undertray.

Anybody know of anything I could do to improve or completely remove this little issue?

Anybody have any clue as to why my keyboard has done this Anybody?

But I did wash the actual tops and sides of the keys.

What did you use?

Also, when you put the keys back on the keyboard, perhaps they're not seated correctly?

When I washed the caps all I used was warm water not even any soap or anything just water. And I have tried resetting the sticky keys to no avail. But I'm noticing the more I use it the less its sticking down. Do you know if there is any type of lubricant inside the switch and when I blew out the undertray and blew most of the lubricant back inside the switch and after some use it relubing up the switches? < Highly unlikely but its a thought

There is no lubricant inside these switches. They don't need it. Most switches which are lubricated are done so by the end user.

I kinda thought there wasen't any in the switches just a thought as now with the more use the keys arn't even sticking anymore

This actually commonly occurs when you re-attach caps to switches and the keycap is not sitting properly on the stem of the switch. You press the keycap down and it pushes the stem into the housing at an angle. If you have blue switches it can cause more of an effect as there are more moving pieces in a blue switch. If the keycap is seated correctly you will have less of a "sticky" sensation. Be mindful of using liquids and keyboards, make sure you never fully submerge anything even a keycap unless you intend to let it dry out without using warm air. Hot/warm air can cause various parts of the keyboard to expand/warp this includes the keycaps.

I bet it was left over soap.

I did diden't use any soap and also i have never submerged anything only a slightly warm damp cloth I used. And only to the tops and sides of the keys nothing touched the bottom but. My problems seems to be solved as to how I have no idea after useing it for a bit afterwards all the keys feel the same as they did before with no sticking really weird but this is my first time owning a mechanical keyboard
