Westone 4 is the name of the newest true-fit earphone from Westone. As the name suggests these in-ears sports a quad driver design. The four balanced armatures are hooked up to a newly designed three way cross over. Priced at $449 these in-ears are sure to stir things up on the premium in-ear scene.

Hmm, Westone good soundstage. Sounds like a win for me, needed to try this for sure.

So, these are as analytical as the RE0's, but have a wider sound stage and more low end?

They are not as analytical as the RE0s but they do share some of the midrange characteristics. The W4s have a lot more bass and a slightly more colored midrange. The low end is a lot more powerful on the W4s in comparison to the RE0s.

I always liked how Westone sounds, but most the time their soundstage let's me down. How they scale with amping? I do prefer how UM3X sounds over Westone 3 but the flat soundstage makes it somewhat boring, and to me the Westone 3 just doesn't sound as nice as UM3X.
