What are these clicking low noises when listening to streams.

Using headphones.

https://clips.twitch.tv/ProudBigOwlCopyThis-6k1fYdc__hYwQl3w At the start when he says "L T E" its more subtle then the other examples but it's there.

https://clips.twitch.tv/KindRefinedSkunkHoneyBadger-tOyH977GjEP5pzOG Same clicking noise happens multiple times. It's like every word he speaks there's a clicking noise (almost sounds like a mouse click). In this clip the only clean words are "they clearly have plans for this franchise" when he says that the clicking doesn't happen

https://clips.twitch.tv/AbnegateSlickPastaLeeroyJenkins-wRvyx1reg-J_0eC2 When he says "Last"

I can hear them on 2 different pc's and a phone with 3 different headphones on the same timestamp/spot every time.It varies per streamer. Some have it REALLY bad while others barely.

That thread is 11 months old thats why and I'm noticing these low "clicks" happening more all of a sudden in the last 2 months.

Audio is sensitive to RF and a wide amount of other often unconsidered things that have increasingly become present and stronger. Bands keep getting packed tighter and as a result everything needs to produce intense signals tuned to bust through the mess.

@kDude you appear to have above average hearing and separation. Trust your instincts where something is bothering you in any environment you encounter. You might consider looking up your local audiophile society to ask about rewarding "training" placing you in suitable company to help ease any discomfort felt. :)

That one was the clearest for me. It's something with the their sound setup or compression or whatever. Those setups are sensitive to external sounds. Ask that guy directly, he might be able to offer more insight.
I tried contacting a couple of his mods but got the answer "I can't hear anything" multiple times.I even posted on his subreddit to maybe get someone to acknowledge the issue and I got the same response.I think at best I got 1-2 people saying they barely hear something which was a bit annoying considering how clear/obvious and distracting they are (for me). What I find odd is how im noticing all of a sudden in these past couple of months not just on that streamer in particular but others aswell varying in severity. All can be heard on multiple devices/headphones just to rule my PC being the issue and I think's what really bothering me is the fact no one brings it up when it happens so I end up watching someone else.

You mean like actual training for an actual career path?

I think it's a thing you just can't stop noticing, and the only solution is to forget about it, basically.

That's what I was doing before the issue got worst 2 months ago.Took me like almost a year to force myself to ignore it and move on and then BAM all of a sudden im noticing these clicks when people talk on a couple of people I watch all of a sudden.Back to square 1.Thankfully it only seems to be a handful of them that have it this bad so i just resort to not watch them anymore.
Watch the first minute of this:
First thing I did when I started to notice them was to check for DPC latency on my end and it was fine but I assume you mean these streamers probably have the dpc latency issue since I can hear them on 3 different devices.Like the others have pointed out I'm wondering if it is actually dpc in this case because it's sounds more like a tinny "click" then the usual "pop" sound that's caused by dpc latency like shown in the video.Another user I showed the clips too said it could possibly be the noise filtering causing the clicks since I mainly notice them when they speak certain words or in certain instances when something is said.I'm not 100% sure tho you could be right and it could be dpc related.

Looks like an AMD issue (no surprise) or at least a Windows issue. Try running a Live disk Linux (no installing) just to see whether you get distorted audio from multimedia content on your system.
The second bullet point is of interest in that link, read on.

If you hear it on multiple devices when watching videos/streams then it's coming from the source and there's nothing you can do about it but to ignore it. If the click/pop appears at the same timestamp then you know it's the source.

Must be why DPC latency issues were mentioned as known issue for the past 2+ years in Nvidia drivers until they finally fixed them few months ago.

Yes.I hear it on 2 pc's and on my phone with 3 different headsets on exactly the same spot/timestamp everytime. What was bothering me was the fact alot of people I showed the clips too where not hearing what I was hearing.

I also kept tabs on the Nvidia DPC latency issue and apparently they didn't actually fully fix the issue.People still reporting dpc latency issues on 3k/4k series cards on driver threads on reddit.(for what it's worth lol)

Sometime its Windows issues, I get the occasional start-stop popping with Edge, I tried no APO's all RAW, no services completely bare. In this scenario its buffer silence issues (Windows).
Shitty bit is Windows updates their audio engine fairly frequently, so one month all could be good, then an engine update and you notice issues.

Windows is also pretty bad with active state power management, and can introduce power based popping also.

The Realtek .sys is near the bottom, doing nothing.

Despite knowing that is always a possibility should you have the right personality and especially technical prowess.

A more direct read would be placing greater emphasis on the effect removing these annoyances has inside audible media, typically music. You could also take away from this a means to improve youtube audio if that is as far as your interest level goes.

"Training" was meant to imply these are serious people who actively train their hearing to detect the exact type of anomaly being encountered. To remove it!! Many, not all, have unerringly acute hearing. They cannot unhear or turn off what other's fail to notice. So they actively engage with a hobby that plays to their strengths.

Nvidia only fixed DPC latency for the 3000 series (as there driver update notes specifically state) and it's been an issue for Nvidia for at least 10 years. I got super high DPC latency with my 1080 Ti and still get it with my 4090.

Only 3000 series actually: https://www.tomshardware.com/news/nvidias-new-geforce-driver-claimed-to-fix-dpc-latency-issues

Would be nice if they had fixed it across the board, it's been an issue forever.

Sounds to me like over-aggressive noise gating / background sound removal on the streamer's end. From the samples you provided it seems they are using a noise gate that is just cutting their voice off instead of allowing a natural decay. It's pretty common for streamers to use, it's just rare for it to sound like the clicking in the videos you provided. Unfortunately once you notice things like that you can't unhear it.

I actually just watched the DPC video posted above, that guy has a really bad time with AMD, fun part is my whole system is AMD.
Asus Prime X570 Pro, AMD 5800X, AMD 7900XT, no popping in playback or recording, even under stress.

Low Latency.png

If I update the AMD SATA driver, then I get popping/cut out....
Using SPDIF for out, Microphone for in.

funnily enough I was watching a show on my pc and a couple of lines said by 1 character had that very same click like the streamer clips I linked. It was on the same timestamp every time aswell. It's not just a streamer only issue it seems.
I guess shows would use some noise gate aswell?I didn't expect an actual show to have the same issue as some streamers tho.
