What cables do I use for my Rtx 2080?

(first time builder) I have a rog strix rtx 2080 coming in a few days, and I know that it has 2x8 pin power connectors. I'm looking at my power supply (EVGA 650W SuperNOVA GA 80+ Gold) and for the gpu it has a 8 pin and a 2x8 pin power connector. The thing is I read somewhere that apparently using a 2x8 pin connector for the gpu is bad since it's all coming from one wire and it's not enough, and that after he used 2 separate 8 pin connectors it fixed his issues. But I don't have 2 separate 8 pin connectors. So then should I use that one 8 pin connector, along with the 2x8 pin connector and just leave 1 of the 8-pins on the 2x8 dangling? Or is just using the 2x8 by itself actually perfectly fine? Thanks.

I see you edited your post, first you were mentioning 4 pin power connectors.

You need 8+8 which are usually 6+2 connectors , you need 6+2 x2 PCIE

Hi,
Evga VGA cable has 8 pin on one end that goes into the power supply
The other end is 6+2 pin that goes into the gpu/ graphic's card.
Use two to fill all the ports on the graphic's card.
