Doing a black/blue build I'm planning to go with this:
i3-4170 on stock cooler (for now, will upgrade to i5) = P5180/$110.59
AsRock Z97 Pro4 = P5750/$122.77
MSI Z97 PC Mate = P4950/$105.69
or
AsRock Z97M Pro4 (currently not available) = around P7000/$149.44
MSI Z97M G43 = P5290/$112.94
Avexir Core 8GB Blue = P2500/$53.57
Seasonic M12II 620 EVO = P3560/$76
Seagate 1TB = P2430/$51.88
+
MSI GeForce GTX 660 Twin Frozr III (currently owned, will upgrade to gtx 970)

It will be my first custom build (I have a pc but it was assembled on the store), but matx board prices here in the PH are almost the same with atx boards, some higher, so I might be moving to atx. Side windowed cases are pricey but I'm specifically looking for it because I want to do some led modding, so I'm looking at a Tecware Alpha case (only in the Philippines) but I have no idea about airflow and stuff but will be using stock cooler so this is important, so if you guys could check this for me it'd be awesome.

Reviews here btw http://www.back2gaming.com/reviews/b2g-hardware/case-reviews/tecware-alpha-chassis-review/

It's something that I can get for $45.90 (black/white) and $43.77 for the black one. Someone also please tell me what additional case fans to get, and mobo as well. Thanks!

It's not about the size of the piece, but how you use it.

I won't use sli, but will overclock when I get an i5, if it's what you meant.

Since you are going with an ATX case, choose whichever, although, IMHO, an ATX motherboard looks better in an ATX case than does a uATX motherboard. I would encourage you to go Z170 instead, especially with your plan for future upgrades. I know that it will cost more, especially there.....
Stock cooler on an i3 will be fine.

I'll be getting a 212x when I get the i5, do you think it will have a problem with ram clearance if I'm using a matx board?

Honestly, I don't think $450 will work on a skylake build. :)

LOUD NOISES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
