Hi guys,

What is the diffreferce between onboard wifi and intel widi?

I have ASUS P8Z77-V DELUXE Motherboard which has on board wifi kit? so is it called intel widi too?

I guess this motherboard has intel widi
Asus P8Z77-I DELUXE/WD

So do I have intel widi on my ASUS P8Z77-V DELUXE?

Please guide.

Thanks

WiDi is wireless display, WiFi is wireless internet, two completely different things.

Intel wifi is just your average wifi, intel widi is integrated electronics wireless display. basicly widi can send your display over your wireless to another display, wich supports widi or has either a media center that supports is.

so its not wifi, it is a display service that uses your wifi.

edit: sneekypeet sneeked his answer above mine ;) wifi is short for fidelity fyi :p

Thanks a lot for this info. My doubts got clear.
