So far we have (disregarding the missing 200-250):

About half of the votes are summed up in less then $200.
While about 1/3 of the remaining votes make up the $250-300.

In other words ~80% of this poll can be summed up in video cards costing up to $300 and ~50% of that is up to $200.

The only prevailing question in my mind is how often are we upgrading? I think that would be a relevant follow up poll (if I may suggest one).

Not surprising: 73% have a budget between 100-300 bucks. I myself usually go around the 200 mark. That's usually where the best price/performance ratio is.
 
I buy ~US$300 cards, but the prices in my region makes it actually ~US$450 to US$500.
 
My budget is roughly $200-250 MAX per card. As others have already said I will not upgrade every generation. I am fairly new at building computers (it's been a hobbie since 2007) My video cards have been 7600 GT, then I was given a 8600GTS as a gift, 9800GTX+ (dual SLI), now my 5850.

one reason thats why i take between 150 to 200 some is the price, i hate especially mid end card that i bought for a while suddenly dropped much :twitch:
 
I voted $100-150. I don't think I've ever spent more than $200 on a video card. My current 4870 I bought used off someone well it was still current (before the 5k series was even out) so it was a great card at the time and I got a crazy good deal on it. Before that I had a 9600GT that I bought new but I don't think it was over $150. I can't remember how expensive some of the 3DFX Voodoo cards I bought back in the day cost but I would never spend more than $200 on a video card now that's for sure.
 
Eh, between $400-600 depending on the best single GPU card out at the time. Or a couple $250-300 GPU's. Whatever gives the best Performance.
 
I usually try to stay with new graphics in the sub 200€ range, or specifically around 180€. That seemed a good choice for now for. More is also hard to justify to your mother/girlfriend/wife ;) That's around $250. I don't update to often, when I realize that new games look shitty due to low settings. A GPU last about 1.5yrs in m systems.
 
My previous 4 cards were in the $150-$200 range. Right now however, I have $600 worth of GPU.
 
I was using one 1920x1080 monitor and have always preferred High End Single GPU from AMD (ATI) in 300-400$ range

But now I have 3 monitors in Eyefinity and with awesome Multi-GPU scaling with HD6000 Series, I am running HD6990+HD6950 Unlocked in Tri-Fire now (1000$) :respect:

Usually $200-300. When my tax return comes I'm gonna get a GTX780 Classified. That will be my most expensive GPU purchase yet.
I'm hoping GTX780ti prices will drop a little in the next 3 months so I can do a Step-Up for cheap.
 
$200 is the most I'd budget for any computer part (PSU, motherboard, CPU, etc). I usually buy used cards right about when the next generation is taking off. Got my 7970 used for $180+s&h and I won't probaply upgrade to a 290X until the 300 series has been around for a few months.
 
Anything under $1000 AUD - Since I usually am able to find buyers for my current cards. A good high-end crossfire setup could be had for this price in AU which in most cases is better value for money than our inflated NVIDIA cards.
 
I voted 3-$400. I've purchased quite a few cards between this price.

Problem is I always buy two of em...:rolleyes:
 
I usually spend whatever amount i feel is reasonable for a mid-tier card when my current card dies :). Last time I spent 90$ + shipping for my current card after the 4890 I had suddenly died.
 
Chose the last option. I'm willing to spend at most PhP 30,000 (around $660).

7600GST = around $100
HD4670 = around $100
HD4850 = around $110
GTX 460 = around $200
HD6870 = around $200
HD7950 = around $320

next card might be around the $300 range or another $100 increment for the $400 range :D
