What type PSU should I use?

What type of PSU should I use if I have GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3L and intel duo core 2 proccessor because my 420 watt won't work. (It works on my other pc)

Some things to keep in mind;
Electronics are not "IDEAL". IF you get a PSU with the exact wattage you "need" then you will probably end up having to replace more than just the PSU, soon.
PSU's are the heart of your system, if your heart is always beating as fast as possable (to keep up with the demand) it won't last very long. The harder the PSU works the more heat it generates.

A PSU that supplies more power than you need works less hard and last longer.
Always pay attention to the power requirements of the GPU (in watts).

When Buying a NEW PSU, get the BEST, QUALITY PSU you can afford with MORE power than you "need". This allows room for future upgrades, and will give you better overclocks, smoother operation, and the PSU will last longer and run cooler because it's not working so hard to supply the draw of your system.

I built 3 rigs with Intel E6550,Gigabyte GA P35-DS3P,Foxconn 8500GT 512MB,250GB SATA,DVD writer,3-4 fans.Loaded with a generic PSU which said It could do 500W so I assume It is capable of 325W.It had 4pin+24pin.Rated 15A on +12V.Still running fine for 2 months no probs.We OCed a one,CPU about 20% GPU about 10% and RAM accordingly.Ran fine while we tested for about 4 hours.But I DO NOT RECOMMEND Generic Chinese crappy PSUs.
Edit : had 2 x 1GB Kingston KVR DDR2 667 Value RAM with nanya chips.

Ultra's titanium modular series PSUs are great no matter what the kiddies say. I've had one running in my server machine for 19 months now, with uptimes ranging from 60 to 90 days with occasional downtimes with less than several hours, and no problems, at all, of any kind. (PSU-wise) So, they have the endurance if you need it. Which I can't say for various generic Chinese PSUs I've tried over the years, many of which never lasted past two months. Also, from my knowledge, Ultra is one of the few corporations, or maybe the only that offers a free lifetime warranty for their PSUs. (providing you register your PSU on their website after the purchase)

Depending on your budget and power requirements there are X1, X2, and X3 to chose from in the Titanium lineup.

have you tested the parts with another psu, it could be bad parts and not the psu. how much money are you looking to spend and how many watts do you want the psu to have? i'd recommend getting a 600w psu. also see the psu guide for more good brands and info

I have crossfire x1950, 6600, 4gigs ram and all that on 400W. But it's silwerstone So you do not need many watt power, new graphic cards are only using less. For examle 3850 is using 120w, while 8800gts up to 230w

with +12 very stable 12,02 - 12,04. So, my advice is to buy some brand names.
