when it says expanding up to 2gig ram.... does that mean the mobo only supports up to 2gig ram? or the ram slot only has 2 slots on 2x 1gig stick?

does mobo have anything to do with ram limitation?

It has to do with the chipset. The chipset can support upto 2Gb ram but it might be only 2 sticks and not a single 2Gb stick.
I had your chipset(ATI x200) It supports 2x1Gb ram

You're kind of hard to understand. I assume you are on a 939 board, they only support DDR1...

Yeah, the motherboard DOES have to do with RAM limitation. Examples:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...010200022 1070921489 4025&bop=And&Order=PRICE

Look at how the Jetway supports 8GB and the PC Chips supports 16GB. That doesn't make em good board though... hehe

It wouldn't supirse me if your bord only supported 2GB, espically if you only have 2 RAM slots.
