ok i've been playing around with cooling for my graphics card for 3 days now trying to get good temps (still not really succeeded) i have a choice stock hsf: Dispo:44C Memio 52C Shadercore 47C
or water-cooled (crap rig) 49C-49C-49C.

I had my water cooled rig down to 46C-46C-45C. But after moving the radiator to try to get better airflow it all messed up and this is the best temp i've had in the past 5hrs of moving stuff around.

All temps are idle (500/993) HD4850.

So what do you think, should i throw my water cooling kit in the bin and stick with the stock hsf or spend another few hours trying to get the water-cooling back in. How much does the memio temp effect the overclockability compared with dispo?

btw. i've also tried an after market aircooler, my temps go up to 55-55-55! (removed and replaced many times)
 
Can you give us a bit of info on the water loop, seems just a bit high if all you are cooling is the GPU.

Maybe an image of the setup in your rig if possible? Also, please fill out your system specs in the user CP and tick the show others box, so we may see what it is we are dealing with in hardware.
 
How big is the radiator? 3x RV770 is a lot of heat guaranteed.
 
Hi sorry, i didn't notice the show system config options in the profile.
The watercooling setup i have is just a cheapo kit, coolermaster aquagate viva. The radiator is pretty ok, but the combined pump/waterblock sucks.
I origionally had the radiator in a free HDD bay (with space above and below) and i was getting 55-55-55C. I decided to try and move it to get better airflow so i attached it to the side panel, the temps then went upto 57-57-57. i moved it back to the HDD bay after trying to fit it in other places and now the temps with it are 49-49-49. spent hours trying to get them down, reattached the water block, tried to move the tubing around in the case but no avail. I know it's a crappy kit and it will probabily go in the bin. it's just really strange that i get different temps with aircooling 46-53-48 (the hsf is well attached) but with my watercooling rig they are all the same 49-49-49.
Does the difference between dispio and memio matter at all?
